About the Speakers:

Inam Nadeem

He has a postgraduate degrees in Urdu Literature and Economics from University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He is currently a PhD candidate in the department of Music at the Punjab University, Lahore.
Mr. Nadeem possesses experience, expertise and qualification in different fields of creative arts. He is a poet-writer, critic and translator. He is the author of a book of Urdu verses by the name of ‘Dar-e-Khawab’. He has extensive experience in translating pieces of literature in the Urdu and Punjabi languages.

Dr. Faheem Shanas Kazmi

She is a renowned Urdu and Punjabi poet having three poetry collections. Faheem is also a translator and compiler of many books, did a comprehensive work on French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre and translated many of his interviews, essays and stories in shape of three different books.
He collected and compiled most of the poetry pieces of renowned Punjabi poetess Sara Shugufta. Translations of some work of G M Syed and Sheik Ayaz from Sindhi to Urdu has also added value to Faheem’s literary profile.

Taimoor Shahid

Taimoor Shahid is a poet, scholar, and translator working in Urdu, Persian, Punjabi, Seraiki, Dakkani, Bengali, and other South Asian languages. He has published two book-length works of translation from Urdu, and his writings have appeared in the Annual of Urdu Studies, 91st Meridian, Modern Poetry in Translation, Vallum Magazine, Tanqeed, Chapati Mystery, Scroll.in, The Friday Times, and The Dawn among others.
He’s currently researching the many lives of the Indian Ocean epic romance of Saif al-Muluk in different languages, translating a war diary from 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, and compiling his collections of Urdu and English poetry and translations.

Taimur Afghani

Taimur Afghani is a poet of Punjabi language; he did his masters in Punjabi Literature. He belongs to Jindiyala Sher
Khan, where he organizes a bethak on 14th day of every Islamic month and recites Heer with its description. Taimur is also the editor of a Punjabi language literary magazine ”Punj Paani” while he is general secretary of a literary organization “Waris Parhiya”.
Dr. Nargis is practicing Psychotherapist, NLP Trainer, Relationship counsellor & Reiki Healer for psychosomatic ailments since 1997. She has been teaching Meditation since 2001 & has a special interest in Sufism, Sufi poetry & Sufi Music.
