Chapter 11 – Bhajitable Garden

It is time to become aware of the food we eat and the source it comes from! And what better way than to grow your own food enabling you to eat fresh, clean and healthy vegetables at a hands distance from your kitchen.

Join renowned gardener and environmentalist Tofiq Pasha Mooraj (The Maali) as he explains the techniques that will enable you to “get your hands in the dirt, your head in the sun, your heart with nature”, and feed not just your body but your soul.

About the speaker:

Tofiq Pasha Mooraj has 30 years of experience in horticulture, floriculture, landscaping, tree-plantation, food development, water management and irrigation. He is a member of Pakistan Water Partnership (PWP), Global Water Partnership (GWP) and Indus Delta Area Water Partnership, a governor of the Hisaar Foundation, an active supporter of Women and Water Network Pakistan and a long-term campaigner of Eco-awareness and environment-protection. He has hosted three TV shows – “Bagh Baani”, “Kitchen Garden” and ”Go Camping with Pasha” – and been involved in making several documentaries on Water both for the corporate sector and private media. Tofiq Pasha has conducted lectures and orientation sessions for several organizations, societies and educational institutions and is a regular guest on various television and radio programs about the environment. He has lived almost his entire life on a 6.5 acre farm in the mega city that is Karachi.
